<p>2 epler<br />
200 gr. aprikoser<br />
200 gr. smør<br />
5 dl hvetemel<br />
4 dl sukker<br />
1 ss vaniljesukker<br />
2 ts bakepulver<br />
5 egg<br />
2 1/2 dl varmt vann</p>
<p>1. Skjær epler i båter. Kok opp aprikosene i vannet. Dette vannet skal brukes i deigen senere.<br />
2.  Smelt smør. Bland mel, sukker, vaniljesukker og bakepulver i en bolle. Rør i det smeltede, avkjølte smøret og eggene, ett om gangen. Rør inn vannet som du kokte aprikosene i.<br />
3. Hell deigen i en liten langpanne 20&#215;30 cm dekket med bakepapir. Legg epler i båter og de kokte aprikosene i rader oppå deigen og strø over mandelspon.<br />
4. Stek kaken midt i ovnen ved 175 grader i ca 45 minutter. Avkjøl kaken og skjær den i ruter.</p>
<p>Best når den har stått i et par dager, faktisk enda bedre når den har vært i fryseren en tur også! <img src='http://s0.wp.com/wp-includes/images/smilies/icon_smile.gif' alt=':-)' class='wp-smiley' /> </p>

<p>Lake:<br />
5 dl søt, kraftig vin<br />
1 liten bit kanel<br />
5 hele allehånde<br />
5 hele nellik<br />
1 muskatnøtt<br />
1 liten bit appelsinskall</p>
<p>Fyll:<br />
200 g lyse rosiner<br />
200 g korinter<br />
200 g rosiner<br />
(100 g coctailbær)<br />
100 g apsikat eller sukat eller en blanding</p>
<p>Deig:<br />
200 g mykt smør<br />
200 g mykt sukker<br />
4 egg<br />
250 g hvetemel<br />
revet skall av resten av appelsinen<br />
1 ss kanel<br />
1 ts kardemomme<br />
1 ss nellik<br />
2 ts ingefær<br />
smør til formen</p>
<p>1. Varm opp portvin og hell den over krydder. La det stå til kjøling noen timer.<br />
2. Bland lyse rosiner, korinter, rosiner, coctailbær og appelsinskall og sil portvin over den tørkede frukten. La det trekke over natten, 8-10 timer. Hell det hele i en sil. La vinen renne av og press ned med en skje slik at så mye væske som mulig renner av. Gjem både portvinen og fruktene.<br />
3. Rør smør og sukker luftig. Rør i eggene ett om gangen under omrøring. Tilsett litt av melet hvis blandingen skiller seg.<br />
4. Rør resten av melet i deigen sammen med revet appelsinskall, krydder og den avrente frukten.<br />
5. Fyll deigen i en godt smurt form, 22 cm i diameter som er foret med dobbelt bakepapir.<br />
6. Stek kaken ved 160 grader i ca. 30 minutter på nederste rille i ovnen. Senk varmen til 150 grader og stek videre i ca. 1 1/2 time. La kaken avkjøles helt i formen. Pakk bakepapir og plast rundt formen og sett kaken kjølig til den skal serveres.</p>

Kok makaroni etter anvisning på pakken og tøm over i kasserollen når den er ferdig. Finnhakk hvitløken og tilsett. Smak til med krydder.</p>

Legg de i en topp på et fat.<br />
Mal nøttene i en hurtigmikser, bland i kanel, perlesukker og vaniljesukker. Skjær opp i eplene i småbiter og legg de en ildfast form. Tøm over nøtteblandingen, smørklatter og sitronsaft på toppen. La det stå i ovnen til eplene er blitt myke &#8211; rør om innimellom så ikke nøtteblandingen brenner seg. Ta eple/nøtteblandingen og tøm det over de sjokoladelimte pikekyssene. Pisk kremfløte og dekk over. Lag helst kvelden i forveien slik at marengstoppene får mykne. </p>

<p>Alt hakkes og stekes i stekepanne, oppi gryta med alt som er stekt. Tilsett bokstomat og krydder. Kokes i ca 1 1/2 time. Ca. 20 minutter før servering tilsettes bønnene i gryta. Serveres med Foccacia.</p>
<p>Smaker best om du lager den en dag før du skal servere den &#8211; da får smakene utviklet seg skikkelig.</p>

1/2 cup raisins<br />
1/2 cup currants<br />
1 cup candied lemon &amp; orange peel<br />
1 1/2 oz. candied angelica<br />
1/3 cup glacé cherries<br />
1/2 cup rum<br />
1/4 cup warm water<br />
3 packets active dry yeast<br />
2/3 cup sugar<br />
5 1/4 cups flour<br />
3/4 cup milk<br />
1/2 tsp. salt<br />
1/4 tsp. almond extract<br />
1/2 tsp. finely grated lemon rind<br />
2 eggs<br />
3/4 cup (1 1/2 sticks) softened butter, cut small<br />
1/2 cup (1 stick) butter, melted<br />
3/4 cup slivered almonds, blanched<br />
2 Tbsp. powdered sugar<br />
<strong>Preparation</strong><br />
Place the candied and dried fruits in a bowl. Pour the rum over the fruit, mix well, and let soak for 1 1/2 hours.</p>
<p>In a small bowl, combine the warm water, yeast, and 1/2 tsp. of the sugar. Stir and allow to stand for about 5 minutes or until frothy.</p>
<p>Drain the fruit, setting the rum aside, and dry it on a paper towel. Sprinkle with 2 Tbsp. flour and allow the flour to become absorbed. Set aside.</p>
<p>Heat the milk, 1/2 cup of the sugar, and salt in a saucepan, stirring constantly until the sugar has dissolved. Add the rum, almond extract, and lemon rind. Remove from heat and allow to cool slightly before adding yeast mixture.</p>
<p>In a large mixing bowl, combine the 4 1/2 cups of the flour with the milk/yeast mixture. Beat the eggs until frothy and add to the dough. Mix in the softenend butter. Form the dough into a ball and turn out onto a board sprinkled with the remaining flour. Knead the dough for about 15 minutes or until all the flour is incorporated and the dough is smooth and elastic. Gradually add the fruit and almonds, kneading just enough longer to incorporate them. Place the dough in a buttered mixing bowl. Cover with a towel and let stand in a warm place for 2 hours or until doubled.</p>
<p>Punch the dough down and divide in half. Let stand 10 min. Roll the halves into 12 x 8-inch slabs approximately 1/2 inch thick. Brush each with 1 1/2 Tbsp. melted butter and sprinkle with 1 1/2 Tbsp. of the remaining sugar. Fold each strip by bringing the edge of one long side to the center of the strip and pressing down the edge. Repeat on the other side, overlapping the folded edges by about 1 inch.</p>
<p>Place the loaves on a buttered baking tray and brush the tops with the rest of the melted butter. Let rise in a warm place about 1 hour or until doubled in volume.</p>
<p>Bake the loaves on the baking tray at 375°F for 45 minutes or until they are golden brown and crusty. Let cool on a wire rack. Sprinkle with powdered sugar and cut into 1/2-inch slices before serving.</p>
